Jerzy Szałapak, PhD

assistant professor

Biography

A graduate of the Faculty of Mechatronics of the Warsaw University of Technology (MSc. Eng. 2013). In May 2019, he defended with honors his doctoral thesis entitled "Development of technology for low temperature joining technique for rigid and flexible electronics, with use of silver nanoparticles". In 2020, he completed a 6-month internship at the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM in Berlin, where he was involved in the development of a technology of assembly of electronic circuits on textile substrates. His area of scientific interests includes printed electronics on polymer, textile and cellulose substrates, assembly for high power electronics applications, as well as assembly on flexible and textile substrates. Since 2011, he has been associated with the scientific team of prof. Małgorzata Jakubowska, head of the Department of Printed Electronics, Textronics and Assembly at CEZAMAT.

Research areas

  • assembly for high power electronics
  • electronic assembly on flexible and textile substrates
  • production of low-temperature conductive layers on polymer, textile and cellulose substrates
  • physical properties testing of the produced composite layers
