About the cluster
Vision
The cluster NTMED is an active partner of the economic and scientific community supporting technology transfer in the field of medicine and pharmacy.
Mission
The cluster supports the development of innovativeness in the Polish medical device and pharmaceutical products sector by means of an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the sector and scientific bodies in order to make new solutions and technologies available, as well as to provide answers to the reported needs for innovation in the areas signalled by business partners and being a platform for them to undertake joint actions and implement joint projects for the effective use of the potential of associated entities.
Specific aims
- Undertaking activities increasing access to innovative technologies in the area of medical devices and pharmaceuticals and providing conditions for effective commercialisation of research work results.
- Effective use of resources and competencies of the cluster members in order to accelerate technology transfer in the area of medicine and pharmacy, taking into account the development of start-ups that complement the technology transfer chain through the availability of research infrastructure and research services of scientific entities.
- Providing solid scientific evidence and supporting the creation of a clear path for the introduction of new medical technologies into widespread use.
- Creating assumptions and implementation of joint projects by cluster members.
Establishment of “NTMed” New Medical Technologies Cluster
On 23 November 2022, “NTMed” New Medical Technologies Cluster was established. It was joined by 15 actors from the fields of medical devices, pharmacy and biotechnology. Agreements were signed at the CEZAMAT Centre for Advanced Materials and Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology (CEZAMAT WUT) during the ‘Innovations for Health’ conference.
First Cluster Assembly
On 28 February 2023, the first assembly meeting of “NTMed” New Medical Technologies Cluster was held at the Centre for Advanced Materials and Technologies of the Warsaw University of Technology.
The Cluster Council was elected by a vote of the members: Sanjeev Choudhary, Prof. Dr. Sebastian Granica, Dr. Wojciech Komnata, Dr. Wojciech Komnata, Krzysztof Kopeć, Dr. Remigiusz Kopoczek, Dr. Adam Nowiński, Dr. Karolina Rudnicka, and Aleksandra Mościcka-Studzińska was appointed from the side of the Cluster Coordinator.
