Post-doc position in the field of electronic materials at the modern research center CEZAMAT at the leading technical university in Poland – the Warsaw University of Technology.

 

Responsibilities

• modeling of carbon nanotube synthesis reactions
• modeling using classical molecular dynamics
• modeling using DFTB methods
• training your own sets of potentials for the tight binding method
• data analysis
• preparation of min. 3 scientific publications and publication in journals from the first decile of CiteScore
• other tasks within the scope of duties, assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Master’s degree and PhD in physics, chemistry or related sciences
• knowledge about nanomaterials and their properties
• programming skills in Python
• experience in modeling using classical molecular dynamics
• knowledge of the DFTB method and the ability to train one’s own sets of potentials for the tight binding method
• fluency in English
• documented publication record (at least 3 publications as first author in Q1 journals)
• ability to work in a group (documented experience of cooperation with experimentalists will be a strong asset)
• willingness to develop new simulation competences
• knowledge of quantum ATK and ab initio methods is welcome
